Description

The City of Moorhead is accepting applications for a variety of fall seasonal part-time and full-time positions in the Park Maintenance division of the Public Works Department.

Mower Operator ($16.00-$18.00)
Operate mowers and trimmers in City parks and right of ways. Hours are 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Thursday. Must be at least 16 years old and have a valid driver's license. Starts approximately May 1 and goes through October

Litter Laborer ($14.50-$16.50)
Empty garbage containers and pick litter in City parks. Starting date is approximately May 1. Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license. Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Park Attendant ($16.00-$18.00)
Provide daily on-site monitoring of Gooseberry Park. Responsibilities include cleaning, opening and closing the park, answering questions and resolving conflicts. Also responsible for cleaning, opening and closing buildings at Woodlawn Park and Neighborhood Recreation Centers. Should be responsible and able to communicate well verbally as position requires considerable public relations activities. Weekend work required on a rotating basis. Starting date is approximately mid-April with part-time hours then full-time hours after school is out for summer. Flexible. Must be at least 18 years old. Year around.

The City provides temporary/seasonal employees Earned Sick and Safe Leave (ESST) according to MN Statute 181.9445 to 181.9448. Employees may also be eligible for Minnesota Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA) benefits per eligibility based on MN State Statute Chapter 353.
